This was the first song I recorded when I bought my first microphone that wasn't attached to a computer. Kiersten Holine helped me out with some beautiful vocals. Even though it's only two minutes long, I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
lyrics
I felt the winter breathe
I saw it freeze and forget about me
The crippling cold of the wind on the streets
I felt the winter breathe
I saw the turn of the spring
I felt the warmth of the new sun rising
A willow tree with new leaves dangling
I saw the turn of the spring
I heard the images sing
The crashing of waves in an acrylic scene
The notes jump from pages of landscapes and streams
I heard the images sing.

The Oh Hellos have come to hold a very special place in my heart, not just in this album, but in others as well. Hello My Old Heart was one of the first songs I ever heard by them, and it's been a treasured journey listening to them ever since. ladyoforion
